Better Late Than Never...

here are the few photos I managed to get of our little spook during our trick or treat excursion... Isn't she cute?
This is the display we had up outside our store for Halloween, what a great way to invite customers to check out our vinyl goodies right? So since we had some computer issues at the store I stopped by to see if we could resolve some stuff. I had Grace with me and Martin met me there. While I putter around the store they two of them checked out the dollar store next door and promptly got Grace started with some candy. LOL

We had originally planned to go to Fairhaven to trick or treat, but sadly ran out of time to complete the circuit I had so carefully planned out online. So we decided to ditch the master plan and just enjoy the time we had left to get our little Flamingo some candy. I had previously done up a sample for the store of one of our cute little buckets...so I snatched it cause this bad mom totally forgot to get her little goblin a bag/container for the loot.

Cowden, the gravel/cement people even brought out one of their trucks and had a cascade of candy running down the chute. What a cool idea...

Of course daddy had to help pick the candy since they were giving out "life" size candy bars, not just the miniature ones.
Overall, Grace seemed a little overwhelmed at all the crazy kids, costumes and even dogs that were out trick or treating in the Christ The King Church parking lot for their "Trunk or Treat" event. They even had stuff set up inside the church, like a magic show, a kids' carnival with games where you could win tokens and exchange them for prizes, and a free popcorn booth. Grace tried most of the games and had a blast, here she is fishing for prizes...and she won a waterbottle

Halloween Trick or Treating with Grace

I almost didn't take Gracie trick-or-treating this year, but imagine my surprise when Martin called home at about 3PM to see if we wanted to go. I just figured a trip into town by myself wouldn't be any fun, but together that was a whole different story. So I got her costume ready to go and checked the internet to see where we could take a 17 month-old that wouldn't be too cold. The mall and various churches were having indoor events so we headed out in that direction. Of course Daddy had ultrior motives and insisted that we stop in at Costco and check out what's new in the tool aisle.
After browsing and actually not buying a single thing, (yes, I was so amazed you could've knocked me down with a feather!), we headed to the mall. It was quite fun to see all the little, and not so little, ghosts, goblins and witches out and about. Most stores had someone posted outside their doors handing out candy, stickers or small toys. After a few attempts Grace got the hang of it and went up to each person and held out her hand. We used the brown paper bag she had decorated last week at the Mom's Club Halloween bash. She got a good stash for a little witch.
